THINGS TO KNOW

  • This site has been built on Squarespace 7.1 using the Fluid Editor.

  • Whilst Fluid editor is great and allows us to layer items, it does make responsive design much trickier as it is no longer automatic and will not always play nice.

  • You can now edit the design on desktop and mobile independently. It isn’t without fault but it can assist.

  • Make sure wherever possible to put all text in a single text box and try not to overlap elements where possible. Reduce the padding around any block as much as possible.

  • When in a section, but not typing IN a text block, hit G on your keyboard. This will make the grid always visible which will help with spacing.

CUSTOM FONTS

I have loaded some custom fonts - one of them being Vonder-Clean. It has been loaded as a Miscellaneous font so if you choose the MONOTYPE it will auto bring it up (albeit very small) - so use it in a separate text block and choose the symbol next to the colour - with the A and the two brackets - that will make it fill the size of the text block.

If you make something Heading 2 (H2) and then make it italic

it will change it to the Ed Mentasta font.

ELFSIGHT PLUGINS

Elfsight Plugins manage the following features:

  • Number Counter

  • Date Countdown

  • Logo Gallery

In order to update these items, you need to go to Elfsight.

I only have permissions to add one person so Liam has got login details for this.

PLUGINS

There are a few plugins installed on the site to give us more control and be able to do things that we normally cannot do.
